patch 1.7

Today i was playing on 6FR server and suddenly everyone got kicked out and when i tried to get back in, it said: "server is a different version: 1.7". I thought wtf, that fast... I couldnt find it on xfire but found it via google.

Just a couple of weeks after the 1.6 patch we already have the Call of Duty 4 1.7 patch for PC players, download link is directly below this paragraph. Unfortunately this patch is much smaller and doesn’t contain any new maps, only fixing a few technical exploits. Make sure you have the 1.6 patch installed before you download the 1.7 patch.

Here is exactly what the patch changes; it corrects an problem that allowed players to mess with console dvars on multiplayer server matches. It fixes a crash that happens when a Sabotage matches on Chinatown are tied and go into over time. Finally it corrects a language error where game icons would show up in English even if the original copy of the game was in a different language. Again no huge changes but it is important to download it so you can play on all servers and so the game runs more smoothly.[/b]

second server is now patch 1.7 as soon as they come out with a private server crack for 1.7 i will do main server

I think the private server patch 1.7 must be out, because a lot of servers do run 1.7
Perhaps this is a stupid remark?

Talking about stupid, I did install the patch.
Now I cannot enter the JointOps server.
Haven't seen thekiller's remark, until now.

yes we are 1.7 as for the remark for some servers being 1.7 well they are running linux servers and the linux private patch always comes out first but i was able to locate the private server 1.7 and it is now running ok with that patch all should be working
