just a note, the profile is not stored in the CODWaW folder

its stored at "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDW aW\players"

and I think they have a online backup too, not sure.

yes they do, some sort of authentication mechanism which is good in a way, and bad in another lol lol
i know that the first thing the game does is sync the data on the pc with what they have on their end, i already had a problem where the data could not be retrieved and i was missing like 3 levels, so i was like WTF, so i close the game and open it again and this time it did get the data from their end and all my stuff was back.
this is good for people that have a legit copy of the game, it takes away the fear of loosing everything when u re-install the game as all your Profiles and Stats would be kept on two places. Bad for people with cracked copies of the game as it might be a little trickie to get this to work right, one day u might have the right info one day u might not, so it might be a little of an inconvenience lol

i tried the beta key with the beta profile but it didnt work

I wish I could&#39;ve used my beta key with the retail game. I always did this for games with beta (Company of Heroes, World in Conflict, etc)
