here is an informative read for anyone wanting to know what hardware gives what performance (graphics:fps:resolution ratios)

it shows that a 4870 can give you the required 60fps you need to play on a 1024X768 / 1280X1024 resolution (deduction based on their high resolutions)

It also shows that this game uses 4 cores (unlike other games), BUT will run perfectly fine with 2 cores
like always its better having faster clock over cores; like 3ghz of 2 cores better than having 4 cores of 2.5 ghz

anyways if u have a 4870 1gb like me then looking at the bench marks 9800gts performs poorly
in fact none of those cards do well unless its a gtx280 or 4870 crossfire






upgrading to the new 5000 ati series is ridiculous as there all priced $150 more than they should be, they seem to have priced all their cards expensive as there is no competitive card in the market atm

so if you have a 8800/ 9800 / 4850 hold off from upgrading just yet

if your like sol and your running AGP, you have to start from scratch and upgrade but you dont want to upgrade that soon afterwards its already out dated, you want it to last a couple!

I have a radeon 4890 Pcs HD and have everything maxed except anti-aliasing and hbao because my res is 1920x1080 i don't see the need to have it on at that resolution, and am happy to say i get 80 to 90 fps at any given time. Oh ya and its nice to see a joint ops server again................
