Hidden Gametypes

It seems that after the l33t PC hax0rz got their hands on Modern Warfare 2 and revealed the dev console, new game modes have been found lurking on the disc!
After some crafty hackers got into the developer console within Modern Warfare 2, setting up dedicated servers and generally playing with the settings, someone apparently tried to create some new game modes with success. From within the added console, a number of hidden gametypes like Global Thermonuclear War and variations of capture the flag and escort were also found..
A post on the official Infinity Ward forums claims that the developer console can be used to activate a number of elements that aren’t present in the game in its unaltered, console-less state, including several multiplayer modes.
By starting private matches and inputting a number of console commands, players are supposedly able to turn on a “Global Thermonuclear War” mode, an objective-based gametype that has players scrambling to capture – and detonate – a nuke placed somewhere on the map. Assassination/VIP-escort modes and variations on capture the flag were also allegedly unlocked and tested.

wow, i think they are still developing those to release them with the map pack, i heard it's not going to be free...

btw, is it me, or is MW2 a bit too easy. i played quite a lot yesterday, went from lvl 30 to 37 and i was on top on almost all of the games, even though i wasnt playing that well, im not showing off, everyone knows my gaming skills suck, im just thinking is it too easy now?

specially with perk combination of : marathon pro, cold blooded pro, ninja pro. no one seem to see me at anyone time, though i still manage to die more than anyone else :P

From what i am hearing they have a second party group putting out a addon so you can run dedicated servers and it is suppose to be released today I have my ears open and waiting on what the final word is.

It's been a long time since ive checked in on the scene. Its nice to see everyone still active. I will also be waiting and keeping my ears open for a dedicated server update.
