Freezing!!

So ever since steam updated the game starts freezing after awhile of playing, maybe 5 or sometimes 30 mins of playing, when that happens I cant do anything until after awhile the game exits on its own and then I still cant do anything because now everything else freezes, then I have to press hold the button the shut it down,

and no my laptop doesnt overheat...

i'm running Windows 7 x64

I havent done anything much other than removing some software that I dont use and trying different video drivers...

I tried Crysis and it didnt freeze so must be something with Steam and MW2 :/

It just started freezing yesterday after steam updated...

steam updated the game for me last night, and after that, i played 3 rounds with kay and about 10 Co-Op games with lez.

i assume it doesnt give u any helpful messages? try reinstalling the Steam software it is probably the only thing that can actually crash it.

Not only you Tali it happens to me as well most of the time it happens with the host leaves and tries to find another host boom lock up.

thats why i hate steam or similar clients. games should be independent, but on the upside, it has auto update, NO FUCKING PB, and for some reason, steam runs very very smoothly for me. and i love the in-game chatting and web browsing etc, but all of these are available with anyother game...

btw, there was a new update, was it for the game or steam?

thats different snake, it shows the host migration screen, but with mine it just freezes and I have to wait for awhile and the game exits why I dont know but it exits and then when I try to open something else or try to close steam the whole system freezes....

gonna try again, i reinstalled steam and my graphics drivers...

well it hasnt been fixed but I found a temporary solution, I had this software for years just never used it until now and IT WORKS!!

Its called Anticrash, its old but still works for Windows Vista/7

so anyway I installed it, played MW2 for awhile then bam, the software intercepted a crash here is the crash logs

apparently 3 crashes while I was playing, need to find out why it crashes though...
