MW2 Resolution Trouble

I worked for about 2 hours yesterday trying to locate the install of CODMW2 and with the help Psy i was able to located it see Angels machine after install ever time i started the game up her monitor would flash blue and say signal not supported it well I am sure most of you know that mainly means the resolution of the game or the OS is not handled by the monitor. So I know what the trouble was i just could not find where to change it then i was able to find it and with the no how on how to change it from the passed games I was finally able to fix her install see it came per set at 600*400 way to small for her LCD the smallest hers can handle is 800*600

This is just a basic location I am sure most of you can figure out where yours is with just by looking that this

c:/program files/steam/steamapp/common/

the game direct is in there. From there you will edit it just like before but you will have 2 config files in the player folder one for MP and one for SP. Open them with notepad or word does not matter and search for r_mode or just mode you will come across the resolution in there and just edited it to what you want and then save and reboot you should be good to go.

yeh people should remember that steam controls the game so any problem would be with steam or the steam folder lol

now time to bind keys :P

800X600 is soo small, why on earth dont u get her a better graphics card, how does she play :O

edit oh fuck reading killers post i cant do shit to the config file damn IW+Steam

oh no she is on 1600x1024 it was the the default res that was screwing her up

you can change values but you cant add or remove any

I just enabled lagometer!

good setting, I set mine to 160, no more lagy servers lol

I changed these too, it helps to know how much your ping is:

// Amount of ping bars shown, the more ping bars, the more precise ping will be shown
seta cg_ScoresPing_MaxBars "10" (default value is 4)

// Ping interval
seta cg_ScoresPing_Interval "20" (default is 100)
Explanation: If you have ping interval on 100 it means you have a 100 ping when you have full bars. If you have your ping interval on 20 it means you have 20 ping if you have full bars, and 20 extra ping for each bar that is gone, so if you have 6/10 bars you have a 100 ping.

I set the bars to 10

and the other setting I set to 50 to if I have 10 bars my ping is 50 or lower and if I have 9 bars my ping is 100, every bar that is missing you add 50
