I know there was a Far Cry 2 thread, but it has loads of random stuff, here i like to talk about th actual game and see what u guys think of it.

i downloaded the game yesterday and played it. i have to say, it hasn't fulfilled its potential for me yet. The graphics are awesome, story line is "ok" but the thing that pisses me off is the mouse sensitivity, i know u can make it smoother and adjust the sensitivity, but it's still a bit annoying and not as sharp as u want it to, either that or i have a hardware problem.

i ran it on Full graphics on DX10, i must say it blew me away, fucking hell it looks real. the fact that u dont have a fixed map on the screen, and u have t get the gps and map out of ur pocket, is just amazing, and also ur health levels, u have to nidle ur self to get better.

the game play, feels a little little little bit like MOH .

over all, i though so far it's ok, but still cant match COD4, i give it a 7.5/10 http://www.flyingright.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

oh wait, i thought i was the only with the mouse problem

cause i get good frames, (didnt check with fraps yet)

but it feels good, jus the mouse feels a bit laggy, so the aim is off.

Same here, my frame rate seems fine (no lag or anything while looking around or when i am in a gun fight) but the mouse still feels laggy. Good to know it is not just me though http://www.flyingright.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

I downloaded and installed the beta driver (180.42) from nvidia and the lag is a bit less, they said the driver is optimized for far cry 2

How to reduce mouse lag:

- switch to dx9 mode ( you won't see the difference http://www.flyingright.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif)
- set "Post" setting to low
- turn off vsync ingame and in your video card control panel.
- turn off mouse smoothing
- play with mouse sensitivity

last resort - install beta video drivers.
