View Full Version : Infinity Ward Says Javelin Cheat Fix 'In the Pipeline' for PS3
Modern Warfare 2 (http://kotaku.com/tag/modernwarfare2/) update 1.05 has gone out for the PS3, but everyone will have to wait for patch 1.06 to fix the infamous Javelin glitch. Let's hope Sony approves it fast, since they seem reluctant to police the cheaters. (http://kotaku.com/5418607/javelin-cheats-sony-dont-give-a-hoot) Robert Bowling, the Infinity Ward (http://kotaku.com/tag/infinityward/) community manager, tweeted that 1.05 fixed some matchmaking issues. Update 1.06 is "still coming down the pipeline, (http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo/statuses/6358841471)" he says. It'll clean up the Javelin exploit, and also fix areas where players could get stuck in world geometry (http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo/statuses/6358993498), such as on the rocks Afghanistan.
My guess is 1.06 will be delivered ASAP but there's no word on when that'll be, specifically.
And for those of you that dont know what the glitch is and how it works check this out

yeah my friend that plays on the 360 called me yesterday yelling about that glitch and was pissed he said alot of people are not even playing online right now because of it.
how many LOW LIFE FUCKS play games, jesus, why do people want to just win easily, dont they get bored just killing all the time with no contest?!!! jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez
but whats funny is the fact that they are Banning people for exploiting this glich, not with a permanent ban but a 24 to 48 hours ban.
so let me get this straight, they put out a game that has a glitch that they did not find and people will get punished for exploiting it? how about BETA testing your fucking game before releasing it to the public IW? i mean dont get me wrong exploiting the glitch is wrong but whoever is using it is not altering the game in any way shape or form like a fucking aimboter or wallhacker does, why dont you motherfuckers target those????

mostly glitchers are also cheaters and imo glitchers are cheaters.
Ban only 24-48 houres?? BANNED FOREVER !!
I fucking knew that something was fucking wronggggg, check this shit out

i mean im not that good at math but im not bad either so on a 8 vs 8 game you see care package after care package and the score does not justifies it, so in many cases i always wondered, how the fuck are they getting all this fucking care packages, who are they fucking killing???????
i thought that it was that other kill streak that you are supposed to get 4 drops and i assumed that you get to call them one by one at any given time, i did not know that all 4 drop at once, i actually learned this when i saw Barnak call it in and i tried to steal one of the packages lol lol lol lol.

well yeah, its kinda cheating, but again if the glitch was not present then they would have nothing to exploit.
they should have Beta tested the game and this glitches would have being corrected before launch day, i just think that its a bit unfair to restrict someone who paid their hard earned cash just cause he/she is taking advantage of code that shipped with the game, some people could be under the impression that this is something that was ment to be done and that the Javalin was intented to be used this way, some may be curious and want to simply check it out other may want to have some fun with it and of course there r the assholes whon take advantage of it for Stats.
Infinity Ward should simply act quickly and patch the frigging thing instead of threathening people with bans and suspentions, they should save those for the fucking REAL hackers that use tool to alter the game in order to get the upper hand, those they should ban foreverrrrrrrrrr.
and just to be clear, i have not used any of this glitches.
